Getting Started

Managing Lists

Creating Lists

Tap the + button on the main Lists screen to create a new list. Free users can have 1 active list; Pro users can create unlimited lists.

Editing List Names

To rename a list, swipe left on it and tap the edit button, or tap into the list and then tap the title to edit it.

Deleting Lists

Swipe left on a list and tap Delete to remove it. This action cannot be undone, so be careful!

Archiving Lists (Pro)

Pro users can archive completed lists instead of deleting them. Swipe left and tap Archive. Archived lists can be viewed and restored later from the Archive section.

Adding Items

Manual Entry

The quickest way to add items is to type them in the text field at the bottom of your list and tap Add. You can add notes, quantities, and assign destinations to items.

From Favourites

If you've saved items as favourites, tap the star icon to see your favourites list. Tap any favourite to add it to your current list instantly.

Barcode Scanning (Pro)

Pro users can tap the barcode icon to scan product barcodes. Point your camera at a barcode and ListFlow will look up the product and add it to your list automatically.

Item Details

Tap any item to view and edit its details:

• Name: The item name
• Notes: Additional details like brand, size, or reminders
• Destination: Which store to buy this item from
• Photo: Add a photo for visual reference

Favourites

Favourites save you time by storing items you buy regularly.

Creating Favourites

There are two ways to create a favourite:

1. From an existing item: Tap the item, then tap "Save as Favourite"
2. From the Favourites tab: Tap + to create a new favourite from scratch

Using Favourites

When viewing a list, tap the star icon to see your favourites. Tap any favourite to instantly add it to your current list. It's just 3 taps from opening the app to adding a favourite item!

Managing Favourites

Go to the Favourites tab to view, edit, or delete your favourites. You can add photos, notes, and barcode information to favourites.

Destinations

Destinations help you organise items by store or location.

Creating Destinations

Go to the Destinations tab and tap + to create a new destination. Examples: "Tesco", "Boots", "Market", "Amazon".

Assigning Items to Destinations

When adding or editing an item, tap the Destination field to assign it to a store. This helps you know where to buy each item.

Filtering by Destination

In Shopping Mode, you can filter your list to show only items for a specific destination. Perfect when you're in one store and want to focus on just those items.

Shopping Mode

Shopping Mode is designed for when you're actually in the store.

Entering Shopping Mode

Open your list and tap the shopping cart icon to enter Shopping Mode. The interface changes to large, thumb-friendly buttons perfect for one-handed use.

Completing Items

Tap any item to mark it as complete. It will move to the "Done" section with a satisfying animation. Tap again to un-complete if needed.

Filtering

Use the filter at the top to show only items for a specific destination. Great when you're shopping at multiple stores.

Quick Add

Even in Shopping Mode, you can quickly add items using the + button if you remember something while shopping.

Sharing Lists (Pro)

Pro users can share lists with family and friends for real-time collaboration.

Sharing a List

Collaborating

Once someone accepts your invitation, you'll both see the same list. Changes sync in real-time — when one person adds or completes an item, everyone sees it immediately.

Export as Text (Free & Pro)

All users can export a list as plain text to share via any app. Tap Share and select "Export as Text". This creates a snapshot of your list that you can send via Messages, WhatsApp, Email, etc.

Barcode Scanning (Pro)

Quickly add products by scanning their barcodes.

Scanning Products

Product Information

When a product is found, you'll see its name, image, and nutritional information. This data comes from the Open Food Facts open database.

Saving to Favourites

After scanning, you can save the product as a favourite so you don't need to scan it again next time.

History & Archive (Pro)

Keep track of your shopping history and reuse old lists.

Archiving Lists

When you've finished shopping, swipe left on a list and tap Archive. The list moves to your archive where you can view it later.

Viewing History

Tap the History tab to see all your archived lists. Each list shows when it was created and when you finished shopping.

Restoring Lists

To bring back an archived list, tap on it and select Restore. It will move back to your active lists.

Duplicating Lists

Tap on any archived list and select Duplicate to create a new list with the same items. Perfect for recurring weekly shops.

Settings

Accessing Settings

Tap the gear icon to open Settings.

Subscription Status

See whether you're on Free or Pro tier. Free users can tap "Upgrade to Pro" to purchase. All users can tap "Restore Purchases" to restore a previous Pro purchase.

Notifications

Enable or disable notifications for item reminders and due dates.

iCloud Sync (Pro)

View sync status and troubleshoot any sync issues.

Tips & Tricks

Offline Use

ListFlow works fully offline. You can:

• Create and edit lists
• Add and complete items
• Use favourites and destinations
• Use shopping mode

When you're back online, Pro users will see their changes sync automatically to iCloud and shared list members.
