ListFlow Complete Guide

📝 Lists Screen

The Lists screen is the main hub of ListFlow. Here you create, view, and manage all your shopping lists.

Creating a New List

1. Tap the + button
   Located in the top right corner of the Lists screen.
2. Enter a list name
   Give your list a descriptive name like "Weekly Shop", "Party Supplies", or "Camping Trip".
3. Choose an icon (optional)
   Tap the icon button to select from shopping, food, home, travel, and other categories. This helps you quickly identify lists at a glance.
4. Enable "Prevent Duplicates" (optional)
   Toggle this on to prevent the same item from being added to the list multiple times. Useful for shopping lists where you don't want duplicate entries.
5. Tap Save
   Your new list is created and you'll be taken into the list to start adding items.

Managing Lists

Rename a List

• Swipe left on the list → tap Edit
• OR tap into the list → tap the list name at the top

Delete a List

• Swipe left on the list → tap Delete
• Confirm deletion (this cannot be undone!)

Archive a List

• Swipe left → tap Archive
• Archived lists are hidden but can be restored from History PRO

🛒 Adding & Managing Items

When you tap into a list, you enter the List Detail screen where you can add and manage items.

Adding Items

ListFlow gives you multiple ways to add items to your list:

Method 1: Type Manually

1. Tap the text field at the bottom of the screen
2. Type the item name (e.g., "Milk", "Bread", "Tomatoes")
3. Tap Add or press Return

Method 2: Barcode Scanner PRO

1. Tap the barcode scanner icon
2. Point your camera at the product's barcode
3. ListFlow automatically looks up the product from 3+ million products
4. Review the product details (name, image, nutrition) and tap Add

Method 3: Voice Input PRO

1. Tap the microphone icon
2. Speak the item name
3. ListFlow converts speech to text and adds the item

Method 4: From Favourites

1. Tap the star icon while viewing a list
2. Browse your saved favourites
3. Tap any favourite to instantly add it to your current list

Item Details

Tap any item to view and edit its details:

Organizing Items

Reorder Items

• Press and hold an item
• Drag it to your preferred position
• Organize by aisle, priority, or however you shop!

Mark as Complete

• Tap the checkbox next to an item to mark it as done
• Completed items move to the "Done" section
• Tap again to un-complete if needed

Delete an Item

• Swipe left on the item → tap Delete

⭐ Favourites

Favourites let you save items you buy regularly so you can add them to any list in just 3 taps!

Creating Favourites

From an Item

1. Tap an item in your list to view details
2. Tap "Save as Favourite"
3. The item is saved with all its details (photo, notes, destination, etc.)

From Favourites Tab

1. Tap the Favourites tab in the bottom navigation
2. Tap the + button
3. Enter the item details
4. Optionally assign it to specific destinations
5. Tap Save

Using Favourites

1. While viewing a list, tap the star icon
2. Browse your favourites
3. Tap any favourite to add it to your current list
4. All details (quantity, notes, etc.) are copied to the new item

Managing Favourites

• Edit: Tap the favourite → Edit → make changes → Save
• Delete: Swipe left → Delete
• Assign Destinations: Set which stores you buy each favourite from

📍 Destinations (Locations)

Destinations help you organize shopping by store or location. Tag items with where to buy them, then filter in Shopping Mode!

Creating Destinations

1. Tap the Destinations tab in bottom navigation
2. Tap the + button
3. Enter a name: "Tesco", "Boots", "Farmers Market", etc.
4. Optionally add an address or location
5. Tap Save

Assigning Items to Destinations

• When adding or editing an item, tap the Destination field
• Select which store(s) you buy this item from
• Items can be assigned to multiple destinations

Using Destinations in Shopping Mode

• While shopping, tap the filter icon
• Select a destination (e.g., "Tesco")
• Only items for that store are shown
• Perfect when shopping at multiple stores!

🛒 Shopping Mode

Shopping Mode is designed for when you're actually in the store - large buttons, one-handed operation, and smart filtering.

Entering Shopping Mode

1. Open the list you want to shop from
2. Tap the shopping cart icon in the toolbar
3. The interface switches to Shopping Mode

Shopping Mode Features

Using Shopping Mode

• Complete Items: Tap any item to mark it as done
• Filter by Store: Tap filter icon → select destination
• Add Forgotten Items: Tap + to quickly add items you remember
• View Details: Tap the (i) icon on an item to see notes/photo
• Exit: Tap the X or back button to return to normal list view

👥 Sharing Lists PRO

Pro users can share lists with family and friends for real-time collaboration via iCloud.

Sharing a List

1. Open the list you want to share
2. Tap the share icon (square with arrow)
3. Select "Share via iCloud"
4. Choose how to send: Messages, Email, AirDrop, or copy link
5. The recipient accepts the invitation
6. You both now see the same list in real-time!

Real-Time Collaboration

Managing Shared Lists

• View Participants: Tap the people icon to see who has access
• Stop Sharing: Share icon → Stop Sharing → Confirm
• Remove Someone: People icon → swipe left on person → Remove

Export as Text (Free Users Too!)

Even free users can export lists as plain text:

1. Tap the share icon
2. Select "Export as Text"
3. Share via Messages, WhatsApp, Email, or any app
4. Creates a snapshot of your list - not real-time

🕔 History PRO

Pro users can view past shopping lists and duplicate them for future shopping trips.

Viewing History

1. Tap the History tab in bottom navigation
2. See all your past shopping trips with dates
3. Tap any past list to view what you bought

Duplicating a Past List

1. Open a list from History
2. Tap "Duplicate" or the copy icon
3. A new list is created with all the same items
4. Perfect for weekly shopping or recurring trips!

🖶 Export & Print Lists PRO

Pro users can export, print, and share lists in multiple formats.

Export as .lf File

1. Tap the share icon
2. Select "Export as .lf File"
3. Share via iMessage, AirDrop, Email, or Files app
4. Recipient can open in ListFlow (even free users!)

Print Lists

Print Format Options

• Simple: Clean checklist with item names only
• Detailed: Includes photos, notes, quantities, and QR code

Print to PDF

1. Tap share icon → Print
2. Choose Simple or Detailed format
3. In print preview, pinch to zoom and select "Save to Files"
4. PDF is saved with ListFlow branding and optional QR code

Print to Paper

1. Tap share icon → Print
2. Choose format
3. Select your AirPrint-compatible printer
4. Tap Print

Customize ListFlow and manage your account.

Account Settings

• Upgrade to Pro: Unlock all features with a one-time purchase
• Restore Purchases: Restore Pro on a new device
• Sign in with Apple: Sync across devices (Pro)

App Preferences

• Notifications: Enable reminders for items with due dates
• Haptic Feedback: Toggle vibration when completing items
• Default Currency: Set your preferred currency for prices
• Language: Choose from 26 languages

Data Management

• Clear All Data: Remove all lists, items, favourites, and destinations
• Export All Data: Backup everything as .lf file (Pro)
• Import Data: Restore from .lf backup file
